Update to Poor Man Bans
I posted earlier last month about my blatant copy of Guy Patterson’s Poor Man BANS using Wordpress, and some RSS feed plugins. He reported after his first month that he made around $97 his first month in Ebay commissions. Well here’s the scoop for mine:
I started Internet Coin Show on January 23rd. As of February 29th, I made $25.20. While this amount isn’t $100, it did pay for the domain for 2 years + hosting for the next 5 or 6 months. All in all, I’d say that its a success. I think the reward is proportional to the amount of effort, and I simply didn’t put a whole lot of effort into optimizing the site or niche. I am getting 8-10 referrals from google organic searches every day. Steadily, as google indexes more and more of my pages (currently 3420), I think I’ll get more hits. I also need to change the 404 page to include some items similar to the one that was removed.
